Parashar Samagra By Premendra Mitra

        Recently I have gone through the book "Parashar Samagra" by Premendra Mitra (Published by Ananda Publishers).
        This is an interesting book. The plots of the stories are really excellent; but the finishing of the stories (or novels) are not so well and that is why the great Bengalee detective character "Parashar Barma" is not compared with Byomkesh (By Sharadwindu Bandyopadhaya) or FeluDa (By Satyajit Roy) or Jayanta (By Hemendra Kumar Roy) etc.
But none can deny the class of Premendra Mitra as a detective story writer.

    Parashar Barma is a very different kind of character as he is poet in spite of being a detective.
    And yes, I do agree with you that the plot of the stories are really fine but the conclusions are not up to the mark.
    But the book "Parashar Samagra By Premendra Mitra" published by Ananda Publishers is not published now a days.
    Some other publisher has published Parashar Samagra 1st volume and that possesses the following stories :
    1. Ghora Kinlen Parashar Barma
    2. Ghuri Oralen Parashar Barma
    3. Parashar Barma o Bombai Dhandha
    4. Du-Noukoe Parashar Barma
    5. Premer Prante Parashar
    6. Nijer Jobanite Parashar

      It was published by Ananda Publishers. Now it is out of print.
      A. Mukherjee & Co. has recently published the 1st Part of Parashar Samagra.
      It contains :

      1. Ghora Kinlen Parashar Barma
      2. Ghuri Oralen Parashar Barma
      3. Parashar Barma o Bombai Dhandha
      4. Du-Noukoe Parashar Barma
      5. Premer Prante Parashar
      6. Nijer Jobanite Parashar
