Ghanada Samagra By Premendra Mitra

Ananda Publishers has published the "Ghanada Samagra" By Premendra Mitra in three volumes. I am going through it. My comment will come soon...

So far what I find is :
In the Ghana-da stories, the events as narrated could always have happened – they have the ring of authenticity – except that Ghana-da himself could not have played a central part in them – as he claims he did. (It is rightly commented by some critics).

The stories are really excellent. Those are neither science fictions nor simple tall tale stories. But those stories can be compared with any top class story.

I request everyone to go through the stories of GhanaDa.

Parashar Samagra By Premendra Mitra

Recently I have gone through the book "Parashar Samagra" by Premendra Mitra (Published by Ananda Publishers).
This is an interesting book. The plots of the stories are really excellent; but the finishing of the stories (or novels) are not so well and that is why the great Bengalee detective character "Parashar Barma" is not compared with Byomkesh (By Sharadwindu Bandyopadhaya) or FeluDa (By Satyajit Roy) or Jayanta (By Hemendra Kumar Roy) etc.
But none can deny the class of Premendra Mitra as a detective story writer.
